Director at Moodie and Labouchere and The Learn to Lead ProjectLucia is an organisational psychologist and leadership coach with over two decades of professional experience, working internationally with organisations to design and deliver impactful leadership development programmes. She facilitates one-to-one and team coaching, and serves as a mentor coach and coach trainer. Lucia’s own training course is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Her career began in executive search in London, where she developed a growing interest in how individual behaviour shapes workplace dynamics. This curiosity led her to study psychology. She moved to Malawi where she managed international development projects aimed at strengthening SMEs through improved financial and organisational practices. During this time, Lucia observed that leadership quality was the most significant factor influencing business success. This realisation inspired her to pursue advanced coaching training to better support leaders in optimising their technical skills by having strong leadership skills.
Lucia has since worked across diverse regions, including Europe, Africa and Asia, as the co-founder of Moodie and Labouchere, alongside Professor Rob Moodie. She has developed tailored leadership and coaching programmes for more than 750 individuals and 35 organisations, helping leaders become more compassionate, self-aware, and effective in their roles.
Her clients include high-profile organisations such as the World Health Organization, The African Leadership University, Standard Bank, and The Wellcome Trust. Lucia’s approach draws from multiple schools of thought—including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and transpersonal psychology—and she carefully adapts her methods to suit each client’s unique needs.
Lucia holds the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential from the ICF. After 12 years in Malawi, she relocated to Italy in 2021, where she is now based, continuing her international work with frequent travel to Malawi and beyond. She holds a permanent resident’s permit for Malawi.
