Cristina Madeira

Co-Founder & Humanship™ Architect at Kaizen Torch

Cristina Madeira is a Human Skills Strategist, Executive & Team Coach, Leadership Faculty, and a pioneer in bringing coaching into environments where humanity and performance must coexist. With more than 28 years of international experience across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East, she works at the intersection of leadership, consciousness, and systems—supporting senior leaders in evolving from performance-driven execution to coherent, human-centered impact.

As Co-Founder of Kaizen Torch, Cristina is a guardian of the movement’s soul and standards. She ensures that Kaizen Torch is not merely an awards platform, but a living ecosystem that elevates leadership, coaching, and organizational impact worldwide. Her work integrates body intelligence, systemic insight, and ethical decision-making—enabling leaders to perceive what is often invisible, unlock latent talent, and lead from clarity rather than control.

Cristina began leading large teams at the age of 24 and later became the world’s first “Hotel Coach,” embedding coaching within hospitality systems. She was also among the first independent coaches to partner directly with major corporations. Throughout her career, she has consistently challenged outdated leadership paradigms, advocating for a new era of humanship—where empathy, courage, kindness, and psychological safety are not soft values, but strategic forces.

She is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF), Certified Team Coach, Senior Mentor (EMCC Global), and holds advanced certifications in Systemic Coaching, Emotional Intelligence, Physical Intelligence, and NLP. Cristina is co-author of two pioneering books on Group & Team Coaching and Mentoring, serves as an Advisory Board Member of ICF Portugal, is a former Vice-President of its Chapter, and a founding member of EMCC Portugal.

For the past eight years, Cristina has led a Solidarity Coaching Project, coordinating 25–30 coaches annually in partnership with nonprofit organizations to support families facing social and financial hardship—bringing coaching where it is most needed, not where it is most visible.

Through her Humanship™ approach, Cristina builds bridges between people, purpose, and power—helping organizations thrive without losing their humanity, and inspiring leaders to act with presence, depth, and responsibility toward a higher good.

Throughout her career, Cristina has stepped into pioneering projects that, from a conservative or risk-averse mindset, would have seemed impossible or premature. Guided by clarity rather than conformity, she trusts emerging signals before they are validated, choosing possibility over precedent. This openness to the unknown—paired with the courage to take conscious risks—has enabled her to help shape initiatives and systems that did not yet exist, transforming vision into grounded, ethical action.

At Kaizen Torch, Cristina embodies stewardship:

Stewardship of standards.
Stewardship of ethics.
Stewardship of humanity.

She does not build trophies.
She builds legacies.

Cristina Madeira co-founded Kaizen Torch to help shape a future where coaching excellence is measured not only by outcomes, but by the depth of human transformation behind them.

Kaizen Torch gives the award. Humanity is the reward.
