Deborah George-Feres,Ph.D

MCC | Executive & Leadership Coach, Founder at Indigo Coaching Systems

Dr. Deborah George-Feres is an ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) and Board-Certified Coach (BCC) with over 20 years of experience helping leaders establish functional systems and
dismantle self-imposed limitations, enabling them to lead with clarity, conviction, and purpose. Her work centers on equipping executives and mission-driven leaders to recalibrate thinking,
elevate performance, and catalyze lasting impact—for themselves, their teams, and their organizations.

Before founding her coaching and consulting firm in 2006, she held senior leadership roles in the nonprofit sector, directing community development and philanthropic initiatives focused on
equity and systemic change. These experiences continue to shape her commitment to purpose-driven leadership and meaningful, mission-aligned outcomes.
Dr. George-Feres’ multidimensional coaching framework is grounded, intuitive, and holistic—anchored in evidence and driven by results. Far more than tactical, her approach is
transformational, weaving deep democracy, psychological insight, and strategic acumen to move beyond surface-level coaching and into the inner landscape of leadership. This depth enables leaders to heighten their emotional intelligence, amplify their leadership presence, and navigate change with clarity and confidence, ultimately achieving leadership that is both high-impact and values-aligned. Whether partnering with seasoned executives or rising changemakers, her mission is clear: to expand their vision, sharpen their edge, and ignite bold, purpose-driven leadership that moves the needle.

Dr. George-Feres holds a doctorate in management with a focus on Leadership and Organizational Change from Walden University and is an Associate Faculty at Fielding
University’s Evidence-Based Coaching Program, where she helps shape the next generation of credentialed coaches. Previously, she taught interpersonal communication, leadership, and
organizational theory at the University of Maryland Global Campus and Howard Community College.
